When I illustrated this image of Samurai Jack and Ashi, I was thinking about the episode of the Samurai Jack cartoon show when Jack hitched a ride on a train and bumped into the female bounty hunter named Josephine. I illustrated Ashi in a similar dress and hat like Josephine's. I also dressed Jack like Josephine's ex-husband Zeek a bit.
